REVISED REVIEW:
This went from a four star to a one star review after I took my cat to another Vet for a second opinion. Not only is Stansbury incompetent, but he can't or won't read the test results handed to him.
Sebastian our first born was diagnosed with heart failure and we nearly lost him after two days in an oxygen chamber. We are new to the area, and needed to find a new vet. Dr. Roundy was awesome with our baby, and took the time to explain his condition and medication to us. He was extremely compassionate, and by far the best vet we've had. If my review was solely based on him, it would be a strong 5 star.
Sadly, I will be looking for another vet... Not cool Jen, not cool.
The only thing he knows is to administer antibiotics over and again. And offer unnecessary and expensive surgery. He may think he has the market cornered with his location, but most people don't like being lied to and will drive when the health of their family is concerned.
My cat Oscar was my life. Being without him is hurting. I'll never be as happy as I was with him. Thanks to everyone there for treating my cat with such love. Thanks for everthing!!!
Frustrated and angry, I called back asking for my pets files, and telling her that I was going to go to another vet because of her condescending rude attitude. She did attempt to apologize, while continuing to rudely tell me what I said could not be true because there were no notes regarding that subject. Ugh.. i again told her I just needed to talk to the vet, why couldn't she just leave him a message? Her final words were "I can leave him a message, but he will be to busy to answer, he usually just lets us handle his calls".
I hope this first point of contact does not represent the practice as a whole.
Unfortunately, my experience with his staff not as good. After refilling his prescriptions for 4 months at the office, on the 5th month we called a week ahead, and they explained to us it was on back order, but they would try to get it in within the next few days. This is totally understandable, these things happen, and I did appreciate their efforts. We waited, and called back the day it was suppose to be there, and it hadn't arrived. Again, these things happen, but obviously I started to panic. I wanted to know how long he would be ok without it? If they could recommend anywhere else I could get it? Yes... I was freaked out, but not angry. The woman on the other end responded "Maybe next time you should call 2 weeks ahead, and give us more notice". We ended up calling petmeds and received it the next day. I was angry about the way I was treated, but, decided to overlook it because we loved the vet so much.

Recently poor little Sebastian has been struggling more when breathing, and I remembered the vet saying one of the meds could be increased a little if this happened. We decided to call and get his advice on what we should do. I explained to the woman on the other end our dilemma and what the doctor had said. She said she would look it up in our file and see if that was any notes on that. I explained to her this wasn't a recent conversation with the vet, but was explained to us during our initial consultation, and I just wanted his opinion. She again repeated that there was nothing in our file about that, and that the doctor writes down everything he says, and if he had said that it would be in there. This was repeated to me very rudely several times, as I tried to explain I just needed his feedback on what to do. She didn't offer to take a message, just ended the call by telling me to call back after 2:30, when maybe Dr. Roundy would be there.
So far, I'm very happy with the services provided to my puppy. Shots are quick and easy. Spay went accordingly and they kept me updated with my dogs progress. All staff was genuine and friendly.
